A quiet PC

I am trying to take down the noise level of my PC. The fan on the motherboard makes a TON of noise. Do you guys think it would be okay to take the fan down and just use the fan on the case to keep it cool. If not is there some other thing I should use to keep it cool. Thanks for the advice.

Get a fan control and when you are not using it turn them all down to the minimum. My PC is in my bedroom but I still have the need to crank everything up at game play time. What size fans do you have? a larger fan running slower will be less noisy then a smaller fan running faster and move the same air. I replaced all but one of my fans with 120mm
