[SOLVED] A ram slot on the motherboard suddenly stopped working

Hello,
My motherboard is Intel dh61ww which has 2 ram ports slots. Yesterday I turned on my pc it turned on but no display output. I found that a ram port slot had stopped working. Why all of a sudden this error happened. Can it be fixed?

Try to update the BIOS to see what happens. Keep in mind, the BIOS update may or may not brick your MB.

If the MB memory slot died, can you fix it? No, you can't, all you can do that will be to buy other MB.
