Ok so my cousin bought me an Asrock extreme 6 Z97 mobo and a samsung pro 950 512GB NVMe drive. I switched out my gigabyte Z87 and put in the Asrock extreme 6, installed everything that I had before and the Samsung Pro 950, but I noticed in my rail simulator 2016 i'm starting to get freezes and lags that I didn't before. So here is what I'm thinking. I know that if I use the samsung pro it drops the configuration to of the PCIe 1/2 slots to x8/x4 since the pro uses x4 its self and I've always had my 7970ghz running at x16 .Would it be wise to cross fire a second 7970ghz/280x to try and gain some peformance back keeping it mind it will only run on x4 and can that work, i've never crossfired or sli before plus i'll probably have to get a better PSU. Or should I drop the 950 pro all together and grab and 850 evo/pro I can put in rapid mode?
Heres my rig atm

16GB DDR3 2133
