all HDD's eventually get bad sectors , even SSD's has some similar issues they don't perform forever , i bought two japanese toshiba 6 tb hard drives recently and one is starting to catch bad sectors if i'm not mistaken. buy a better quality HDD or move entirely to an SSD if your budget permits.
my budget is soo bad, im even looking for 2nd hand hdd and downgrade to 500gb only
🙁
thats why im hoping to atleast increase its health so i can sell it and buy a new one with atleast 500gb only
Unless you have a very specific hard drive problem like a problem with the PCB (which would essentially end with you buying a new hard drive anyway), you can no more fix a truly dying hard drive than fix burnt toast. And you sure as sugar shouldn't be trying to sell a hard drive that's failing, you'd essentially be defrauding the buyer unless you disclose the hard drive is failing (in which case the cardboard box it's shipped in would be far more valuable to a buyer).
to tell you, selling with this is kind of ok in our country. they even looking for a cheaper one than a brandnew that cost 5x
though i want to increase health so they can use it more but i guess I dont have a choice
they can make it as external Harddisk for storage only, thats one of my buyers plan
