A smartphone?

I belong to the minority of people that doesn't have a mobile phone,
but that may change soon. I have now started working as a brass
(trumpet, trombone, ...) teacher which means that I travel between
different schools and am not so easy to reach without a mobile phone.

The reason I'm posting this here, is that I'm considering getting
something that will also allow me to play IF. It's either that or
something with as few features (i.e. as cheap) as possible. "Just a
phone."

I'm looking at the PalmOne Treo 600. It seems nice, has got mostly good
reviews and PalmOS seems to be the platform that's best supported
regarding IF-terps.

So... Has anyone here has any experience with the Treo? Is a small
2.2" 160x160 pixel screen usable to play IF? Or maybe you have
suggestions for other phones to look at? Or should I look at cheap
phones and continue to maker my notes on paper and play my IF on my
computer?

I have an original o2 xda (unlocked, as o2's pay and go net access is
rubbish, whilst vodafone's pay and go allows full access once you ring
them to enable it). It's a 'full' pocketpc thingy, I think the latest one
runs pocketpc 2003 or '04 - I can't remember.

I play IF on my Treo - the Kronos interpreter is perfectly usable. For
some reasons I can't recall I did find I needed to by a USB memory
card reader for my PC to get the zcode files onto the phone.

Thanks for your suggestion. I can't seem to find that one for sale in
Sweden. I found one store who used to have it, but have discontinued
it. They recommend QTek 2020 instead, which is another PocketPC
thingy. It's more expensive than the Treo I'm considering. It has a
larger screen, which must be good for IF but other than that there
isn't much about it that makes me want it. I have no need (and not
much want) for the Office programs and a couple of reviews say it's
too clumsy for a phone, which I expect to be my main usage of it. One
reviewer also mentioned it crashing a lot.

I'm still leaning towards the PalmOne Treo 600. After continued
research more so than yesterday, actually. It looks as if I might
order one before the end of the year.

I suppose those two (PalmOS = Treo 600 or Windows PocketPC = QTek or
HP) are pretty much my options? Googling in rgif for Symbian only got
me an unanswered post from July asking for a z-code terp, so I
suppose there is none.

If anybody has something to add, it is recieved thankfully.
