So as i was playing a game the PC froze and displayed some brown artifacts.. After a restart it wouldn't boot Win. I reinstalled Win and after 5 mins of normal work the screen flickered twice and went black. I restarted the PC just to find it won't boot Win again.
I repeated the procedure on 3 different hard drives thinking that a faulty hdd might be the issue, just to get the same result, PC going black in 5 - 15 mins.
The same thing happened a while ago, while there was a thunderstorm outside, but after Win reinstall it worked normal upto now.
My guess is, the mainboard got a bit fried and is slowly dying?
Thx for any help.

Solution
Might be a PSU failure. Usually takes the brunt of a electrical surge if it is a good quality unit plugged into a surge protector.
