Question A third party software needed to manually control my webcams exposure

So I bought a cheap chinese camera, I don't really have any other use for it. Only use it for ONE of my online classes because the teacher wants it on. It has autobrightness and it's really really bad. If the lights in my room are on, there will be no light on my face in the video. So I have to turn all the lights off and the screens bright light falling on my face works well. I want an external software that will let me permanently tune some settings. Any help will be appreciated!

I don't want a better camera atm as I have no need for it, I can work with this fine. Also I've gone through those options and they were all usually for recording and streaming rather than setting it up. Any idea which ones a better option?

Yea online classes started a long time ago and I haven't really had a "need" for a better camera, just want to tune it better. How about you give a solution instead of stating the most obvious answer which I obviously know about? Or like, just don't comment? If I wanted a better camera I'd go and buy it, not post here.

Are you able to provide a link?

What computer is hosting the camera/webcam? Hardware specs and OS?

You may be able to exert some control in other ways.

What "meeting" or "on-line classroom" software are you using?
