A very newbie question

Archived from groups: alt.games.diablo2 (More info?)

Just, started the original Diablo II for the first time and i've played
through act 2, was in a party and moved in to act 3 just in time to help
kill Mephisto and collect a soulstone.

Question in what the hell do i do with that stone?

i've tried looking in a few FAQs and still found nothing.

Any help would be appreciated

you take it to the hellforge in act 4. there u smash it and get a nice drop
(sometimes).

Hang on to it. When you get to the river of flames in act 4 look for the
hell forge. Touch the forge the stone will go on it and use the hammer that
haephustus (ah heck the spelling) drops and smash the stone. You should get
some gems. If your using LoD then you will also get a rune.

The short answer is just put it in your stash and forget about it. When the
time comes, it'll automagically disappear from your stash and appear on the
Hellforge, where you'll proceed to smack the living daylights out of it.
