How come that a company is so utterly uninterested in listening and dealing with complaints about a product? Does greed really dictate everything? Is nobody into public relations?

I purchased a MachSpeed motherboard from TigerDirect about four months ago, which never worked well. This was supposed to be a backup computer to me, so I had no rush, but I could not get it to boot correctly. So I went back to the Tigerdirect outlet store at "Mall of Americas" (Miami), and was told to ship it back to the motherboard company (MachSpeed) in order receive assistance, because 30 days had passed after my purchase.

This company, "MachSpeed" has been very unfriendly in regard to listening and responding to my problem. They advertise themselves as proud of being "American Owned", which was one reason why I wanted to try their product. I have now a new understanding what that stands for!
With my background of more than ten years in computer businesses, I can tell You that this company has a very malfunctioning idea of how to handle customer support and complaint questions.
They all too easily used lies and excuses, in order to avoid any acceptance of a complaint.
My case was about a motherboard, and about how, or why this was malfunctioning. As always a question like this are lenghty, but the short story is that the motherboard was damaged already from the manufacturer, but "MachSpeed" choose to deny this fact.
They could have been fothcoming and nice, but instead they ignored my problem, and were quite rude. Obviously they did not care.
During my conversation with a"MachSpeed" customer support guy named "Chris", I was promised to recieve a new motherboard "right away"! On my next contact, this person completely denied his promise, and told me everything was my fault. This was not correct, and I explained to him why. But nothing could convince him, he was just right and I was wrong.

Then I had a conversation with a manager, and told him that I wanted to complain about this, and he just laughed at me, and told me just to do it. He was not the slightest interested in helping me to solve the problem.

The company "MachSpeed" is bad a bad choice when you build Your own computer! They are so uninterested in customer relations, to the end that they do not carry any contact information or website information at all. The flashy box in which the motherboard was packaged, had no information, and the enclosed booklet did not contain any support information. Instead I succeded to get a customer support telephone number through TigerDirect here in Miami.
It is now clear to me that I will never receive any reimbursement or credit from "MachSpeed"! At the same time it is also very obvious that they are never to be considered as a respected dealer by me.

This company is a bunch of con. Agree with what Leif said about them. I will NEVER buy anything from them again. Here a copy of the letter that was sent to the CEO that explains my problems with them.

Dear President of Mach Speed Technologies:

On January 30 2005 I purchased a Mac Speed Matrix PM9MS socket 478 motherboard from TigerDirect. This board ran good til about March of 2006 and it began to give trouble and had to be sent back to Mach Speed for a new replacement. Well this replacement board worked great til about November of 2007 and it had to be returned and another replacement board had to be sent. Well this board ran good til it started giving trouble in April 2011 in which I send it back to be replaced. This is were the problem began. On April 26 2011 I returned the motorboard back to Mach Speed Technologies after talking to someone there and getting approval. They told me to send it back and use the same RMA number as before. So I put it in the same box that I had always send it in with the same address label that was on there from the last time with the end user RMA form and mail it from the post Office in Morganton, N.C. (See attached form of a copy of the Post Office Receipt). I checked with someone on June 1, 2011 about the status of my board being that it had been gone close to five weeks and I had not heard nothing about it. The guy there told me that they had no record of it being sent or no one had approved for it to be send. I know that times are hard now and that your company has stopped making Motherboards but I didn’t make your policy of a Lifetime Warranty. I feel that the reason of all these lies and it not being replaced is because your company doesn’t make motherboards anymore and that’s a item that your company’s trying to put to rest. The motherboard didn’t cost but 75.60 and it won’t break me but it is the principle of the thing. I run a business myself and it is based upon honesty and doing the right thing. That being said if you can help me great if not life go on.

Thanks
