A way to fix a dead graphics card

my 8800 gts just died on me last week, i ve had it for more then a year now and all the sudden i started having artifacts all over my screen, it got worse throughout the week until it go so crazy it would hardly work properly and the computer along with it... its not a driver problem neither is it anything except for the GPU... is there anyway to fix this cuz i cant really afford getting a new one.

There could be dust build-up in the fan/heatsink causing it to overheat. It's most likely dead though.
