A white led is showing because of vga

I have built a computer and it won’t show anything on the display.

I have a gtx 1060
Themaltake 600w
Amd ryzen 5 2600

I’ve tried unplugging it and plugging it back. Pretty much everything except for getting a new one plz help

The problem is that when I boot the white led light (vga) at the top left of the ram slots is shining when I boot. I get no signal to the monitor.

However..

I have tried

-uninstalling the gpu and putting it back in
-checking cables
-switching the gpu and the ram
-staring at it in disappointment
-tried different pci-e slots

I think it might be a faulty mobo or cpu but I’m leaning towards the mobo.

Please help cuz it’s kinda pretty sad to see a 2.7-8k cad pc not boot.

Diagnostic LEDs are usually placed near the component that they monitor. In this case they are saying there is a problem with the RAM.

I would recommend reseating the RAM. Remove the RAM sticks one at a time, clean the contacts, blow out the slot, firmly install the stick, and then repeat for the rest of the RAM. Make sure that matched sets of RAM are in the same color coded slots.

Then reboot.

I’ve done that already I think I need to update bios. Do u think so?

Cuz I have to take a r5 1500x outta mine and put it into my friends pc which is a big hassle. I have to buy thermal paste..

But do I think Canada computers can do it?

If it is a new PC or if they installed the new CPU, then yes they should get it working.


Otherwise there will be a repair fee involved.

Well..

I just bought the parts on the yesterday on the 22nd

Put the old CPU in and then reinstall the CPU cooler. Then go to the manufacturer website for your specific motherboard. Then under the support menu, download the the latest BIOS to the root directory of a USB flash drive. Then follow the instructions in your manual to update the BIOS.
