Question A1 and B2 DIMM slots are not working

I have 2 sticks of 8gb ram and I can only put then in A2 and B1 slots and the bios shows that I have only 8gb ram... So what can I do now?

CPU: Intel I5-7400
GPU: GIGABYTE GTX 1050 TI CO Windforce
MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro-Gaming
RAM: Corsair Vegeance LPX 8GB 2400Mhz (2 of them)
PSU: Corsair RM650X

Make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for your motherboard. Are both sticks of ram identical? You might want to remove the CMOS battery from the system(while it's powered down, with the main socket turned off) and replace it after 15 minutes with only one stick, then try with a second stick.

What version of Windows 10 are you working with?
