GPU: MSI R7 370 Gaming 2GB
CPU: A10 7700K Slightly overclocked to 4.1 GHz
RAM: 2*4GB Kingston HyperX
MOTHERBOARD: Asus A68HM Plus
PSU: Corsair VS 350W 80+

So, my problem is mostly with battlefield 4, i have very unstable fps at 1080p and it doesn't matter what settings i use. In lowest settings i can average ~75 Fps, then suddently 120 fps, and out of nowhere drops to 30's and its back up to 60 again. Same for medium and high settings. It feels very choppy and unplayable.
This even happends with cs go which is based on source engine so it should be butter smooth, but somehow my fps hover around 80's and can go as low as 40's inside smoke grenades, same for lowest settings and lowest resolution possible, it hovers around 200 fps, and go as low as 40...
My friend has a gtx 750 ti and an i3 4170 and he plays battefield 4 at medium settings 60fps constant, and cs go maxed out at ~200 fps... Why?? Is it a bottleneck? Im thinking of getting an FX 8320 or an i5 4460, still thinking which to choose.
Already reinstaled drivers and all of that basic stuff, still nothing.
My max cpu temps is 55ºC and gpu is 60ºC, so i don't think there is any throttling happening..

Your cpu even if overclocked to 5.0ghz would still bottleneck in those games. With processors core count and frequency get confusing for some. Your cpu even at 5.0ghz would still bottleneck. IPC is why the i3 pulls better fps in games. The only way youre going to get a consistant minimum fps of 60 is if you switch to an intel platform otherwise youll have to get used to the amd 60 (30fps) isnt it cimimatic 😉

well, that sucks, is the FX series cpu's still capable? they are dirt cheap compared to intel here where i live; 140€ for FX 8320, 100€ for FX 6300, and the cheapest i5 i could find was the 4460 at 185€. Not really interested to get an i3 as dual core cpu's are fading away in performance.

just checked gpu and cpu stats ingame and it shows as cpu usage 38% / 40% / 88% / 91% which seems weird.. 2 cores almost maxed out while other 2 are below 50%? Gpu usage hovers around 90 / 96%. but when there are big fights with explosions and shooting everywhere the fps are around 35, and in that momment 2 of the cpu cores max out a 99% and the other 2 stay at 15%... What the hell is going on here, oh well. I'll test my r7 370 in my brother's i3 2120 pc and will test tomorrow with my friend's fx 8120 to compare things.

Since that is an AMD GPU, you can also try running the game using the Mantle API instead of Direct X 11.

Mantle acts very weird sometimes and sometimes crashes the game when big explosions happend.
I tested my gpu with my brother's i3 2120 and the performance increased a lot... Like it averages 80 fps in medium settings and doesn't dip below 60.
Also got 120fps more in csgo, well guess amd single core performance is terrible.. Time for intel i guess.
Would it be worth to get an i3 6100+ddr4 ram or an i5 4460+ddr3? I mainly play bf4, cs go, LoL, and will probably play bf one.
