Hello!

I recently built a PC with the following components:
- Asus A68HM-E
- A10 7850k
- 1x8gb Kingston Hyper Fury X
- Crucial 250gb SSD
- 1TB WD Green HDD
- Huntkey 600w PSU

No Video Card yet since I'm on a really tight budget. Though I'm sure my CPU can handle gaming on very low settings. I'm not really picky when it comes to graphics quality so I'm satisfied with my a10 for now.

Currently have 1 intake and 1 out. Intake is a DeepCool X120 fan and is at the side panel and the Out, which is the standard fan that came along with the case, is at the rear of the computer. I also haven't overclocked it. Too afraid to do it with that kind of temperature reading.

The problem I have with my build is that the CPU stays on 90°c constantly even when on idle. Here are the things I did in an effort to fix it.

- Replaced the pre applied thermal compound with a new one. Made sure that there's enough contact for the heatsink-compound-cpu. Still at 90°c.
- Replaced the stock cooler with a Deep Cool Ice Blade 100, making sure to apply the thermal compound. Made sure that there's enough contact for the heatsink-compound-cpu. Still at 90°c.
- Returned the Motherboard and the CPU to the supplier. Supplier replaced it with a new arrival but same components. Redid everything on my first and second attempt. Reinstalled OS, drivers, and only the softwares that monitor system temperature. Still at 90°c.
- Bought a different case so that it'd have two ins and outs thinking that ventilation might be the problem. All of the fans were replaced with a DeepCool X120. Still at 90°c.
- Replaced PSU with a Silverstone 500w (Borrowed it only. Had to put my Huntkey PSU back). Still at 90°c.
- Returned my mobo and CPU a third time. Had it replaced with new but the same components. Reinstalled OS, drivers, and only the softwares that monitor system temperature. Still at 90°c.

I have yet to try water cooling but those things are expensive here.

Checking the BIOS, I noticed that it sits at 45°c to 50°c. But when I arrive on the desktop, CoreTemp, Speccy, and HWMonitor all tells me that my temp fluctuates between 80°c to 90°c.

I would go and have it checked out by a local technician but it costs too much for me and they take alot of time. And if he happens to break something, he's not going to pay for it so I'm not going to risk it.

It didn't overheat when I tried playing some fallout 4 on it (getting 20-30 fps at very low settings and 768p) or when I was downloading huge files leaving it on overnight. Same when I left it on to render some videos overnight.

One thing i did notice though was that the temperature for the R7 Radeon's temperature, according to HWMonitor, fluctuates between 45°c to 50°c with a maximum temperature of 78°c

I'm honestly stumped. I don't know what else to do.

Any idea what could be the problem?

Broken sensor doesn't always mean broken hardware, it could be that you're using outdated software too
I've redid my first and second attempt right after posting the thread. Still at 90, unfortunately.

I find it extremely unlucky that I've had broken sensors on three consecutive motherboards. Man, I must suck really bad.
