A10 7850k: what discrete card is equivalent?

While going through various options for my new PC I became curious as to the answer to this. Does anyone know what discrete card/s match the performance of the igpu in the A10 7850k with best ram, etc installed?

If anyone knows the answer to the lower tiers (7700k, 7600k) then by all means answer for those too.

It's as strong as a GTX 260. Weaker than the R7 250 but stronger than the R7 240.

Yes, looking at comparisons, the GTX 260 easily defeats the R7 250. Where does this leave us?

i think it would be slightly better than a 7750. but to sum it all up. APU's are only for 720p gaming

@sapperastro But the gtx260 has a flops rate of 416 GFlops and the R7 250 768 GFlops.
In terms of compute performance, that makes the 250 almost 2x as fast.

That site compares theoretical benchmarks. Sometimes they post FPS, that is a more accurate measure of actual performance.
If you wanna feel excited, compare a 7750 to a 5970.

However, in reality the 7750 is a fairly good entry level card, and the 5970 has a too low TDP, that's why its performance is bottlenecked. It was the flagship card of the HD5xxx series.

Actually,. there is no gtx 260 maybe a gtx 620, but I actually owned it, and the r7 240 from Sapphire was a lot better than the gtx 260, which wouldn´t even load battlefield 4. If there ever was a gtx 260, that must have been from 2006 or something like that. Plus my r7 240 2gb actually runs Watchdogs as well. Of course all with low settings, but the gtx 620 coulnd´t even open it at all. I´m just sick of all the nvidia fans, and nvidia, who talk to developers in order to frustrate amd owners, just so they can get ahead on the competition. By the way, AMD won the console wars, and that´s why NVIDIA is cheating in order to not lose their company. They don´t care about the AMD owners at all. I used to love NVIDIA back in the day, but they´ve been cheating with their games since I bought my first AMD card, and gave up once and bought an FX 5200 from XFX, and also owned a gt 7800, but after 4 years in the military, I bought all my stuff from AMD, since they really do try to make their customers happy. Hopefully, one day, MANTLE will destroy DirectX, and AMD will have their revenge!!! Jajajaja, sorry about the rant!! The R7 240 is better, hands down, and the 7850k has an equivalent GPU of an R7 250. But it´s faster than the r7 250, as it does contain 8 gpu cores. The R7 250 is faster than the GTX 260 but it's close so there may be games/tests where the GTX 260 comes out on top.

The A10 video chip is roughly in the same rank at the 8800GT video card, but again, it may be better or worse in specific cases like resolution, quality settings (the 8800 may handle shadows or AA better for example), game played, etc...
