A10-7870k 50°C idle after thermal paste changed

I've recently upgraded from A10-7800 to A10-7870k, but the heatsink that came with the CPU didn't fit my motherboard so I had to use my old one, after applying the thermal paste the CPU was running around 50°C - 60°C, I tried to use my old A10-7800 to see if it was just the heatsink, but for some reason I got the same results, if not worse. I've tried cleaning and reapplying the paste several times, but still get the same results. Any ideas?

I am using HWMonitor, but recently I realized that it probably doesn't work because at one point it showed that my CPU's temperature was 225°C so yea... I tried using AMD OverDrive and the margain seems to be around 65°C which is good as I am told...

I tried GTA V and it seems to do the trick, CPU usage goes to almost 100%...

thermal margin tells you how close you are to being bad in general anything over 15 is considered good under 10 is when you need better cooling

Thanks for your time, I thought I needed a new heatsink, but luckily I don't... huge rock off my chest.
