Hey I have a a10-5800k and it is consitently running very hot, as in, 60c while idle and up to 90 at not very heavy load (minecraft). Im not even using its graphics power, I have a gtx 660 which i installed. I am using the stock HSF and ive never had this problem, only until i recently put in the GPU has the cpu been over heating. The gpu and mobo temps are relativly normal imo. but the cpu temp is worring me. I tried under clocking and i get the same temps, i have no idea what else to do. I just ordered a hyper t4 hoping this might help and some new thermal compound from zalman but i have y doubts, i cant open bad company 2 without my pc shutting off. and it has never done this before. Please help me. My motherboard is a msi fm2 a55 me33. i downloaded speccy hoping to get better temps but they are the same. and yes the HsF is seated correctly

Solution
1) Install the new CPU cooler properly (minimum paste to cover).

2) Setup FAN CONTROL for your new cooler fan using the motherboard fan control software so the fan runs slower at idle and ramps up under load.

3) Ensure you have proper CASE FANS. You should have at least one INTAKE at the front and EXHAUST at the top/rear.

If you need more advice on case fans then give your case model. Some have 3-speed fans pre-installed so you can manually change the speed. I replaced mine with PWM, variable fans and use my motherboard fan control software.

Not trying to necro-rez, but @aplascencia, Minecraft runs on java, which is CPU dependant, until this project is completed and implemented http://openjdk.java.net/projects/sumatra/.
