[SOLVED] A2 code on ASUS mobo

My specs:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero Wifi (AC)
CPU: Intel i7-7700k
GPU: Nvidia 1080Ti
RAM: ddr4 Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x8GB)

I started having an issue earlier today where my computer restarted by itself and then would not output to a display.
It initially had the Q-code A0 but was not going to the bios or displaying any image.
What I have tried:

• Resetting the CMOS by removing the battery for half an hour but that did nothing.
• Booting after removing the graphics card using integrated graphics
• Created a fresh windows installation on a known working drive and had that as the only connected drive
• Trying to boot with only CPU, one stick of RAM, PSU, and HDD

All of these send a wakeup signal to the monitor but then it goes back to standby mode. All of these cases outputted an A2 Q-code.
I would appreciate any help.

I apologize for the post.
I figured it out; my displayport cable went bad and swapping to a new cable fixed the issue.
