So I've been having issues with my build for a few months now. I was able to fix the first issue by correctly reseating my ram but now as I try to boot up my pc it gives me the error code of A2, then d6 In that order.

The place to start would be looking in your motherboard user manual to see what that error code actually means.

Right I'll get right to that

It's an IDE detect error. Though I'm not quite sure what that means or how to fix it.

That would probably lead to a drive error of some sort.

For any real help, you'll have to inform us of the whole system config.
What was the last thing you did before this started happening?

I've got an evga z170 ftw
Evga gtx 1070
3 sticks of ddr4 ram, 32 gigs total
2 terabytes hard drive and 900g hard drive
Corsair 1000rmx

The last thing I did before these issues occured was installing new ram, after that my pc wouldn't boot and I wouldn't get a post. But after correctly reseating the ram, my pc recognizes it and it tries to boot but gets stopped by the ide detect error

I do not have a Linux live cd to boot with. I also have one drive in and one ram stick. Same results

My board was replaced so its highly unlikely to be fried.
I'll try my Windows cd, but how will that fix the problem?

This is still the investigation phase, to possibly determine exactly what is wrong. We're not 'fixing' yet.
Does it boot from that Windows install drive?

Update:
I made it to the bios and now I seem to be in a never ending loop of my pc trying to restart and not being able to. It brings me back to the same interface. Where I can choose to reset my pc but when i do it rejects it and doesn't allow my pc to reset or get past bios really

Did you flash a beta BIOS?? It looks like (If I'm looking at the right mobo) BIOS 2 was a beta bios.

Beta bioses can be buggy and can cause loops on the post screen

If youre using a beta bios it can turn the system on get to the post screen, restart itself and start all over again continuously

And 2.01 is the latest BIOS

I don't think I flashed a beta but I could be. I have the original bios chip I could put in to see if that works. Other than that I'm wicked confused

And any time i try to boot the pc up it sends me to a screen which says "it looks like Windows didn't load correctly" and if i try to reset to factory settings. It will tell me that there is an error and won't work

How do i get into the bios when I try to boot? It doesn't sbkw me that screen anymore

I don't know what i did but it's working now. Thank you so much it's been 3 months since I've used my pc
