A4 to A10 Socket Issue

i recently bought an A10-6800K APU and i also have an old A4-5300K,so i was wondering if its okay to replace the A4 with the A10 using the same old mobo which is also an FM2.

Make sure you are using the F5, F6, or F7c BIOS for your motherboard (Rev 1 and 1.2 Boards). For Revision 3 boards which start with FA you should be fine as it is supported on the release BIOS (These Rev 3 boards also support Trinity Ax-7 chips like the A10-7850K) . Otherwise you are good to go.
