This problem has been raised in this forum, but checking BIOS, drivers hasn't helped.
I have a Windows 10 desktop, Haswell i7, Gigabyte MOBO GA-Z87-HD3,

On this web page it says "Users report that Netgear wireless adapter works fine when they start their computer, but after a while the internet gets cut off and the only way to enable it is to unplug and reconnect your adapter.
My experience is very similar, except that on booting the wifi disconnects within 1 min. It stays disconnected (at least an hour) until I unplug and replug in the adapter. I have tried different USB ports incl usb2 and 3.
You will note that many people have this problem, but not all. My wife has a Dell desktop with an older i7 cpu than mine, and she doesn't have any disconnection problems!
My wife is reluctant to swap adapters. I am still yet to try a swap, but will try soon.
