is there really any difference between the two. noticeable? or for that matter the 2800 vs 3000? if i know that they'll all run pretty quickly, why spend the extra $30-60?

Socket being the same (754 or 939), 200mhz per step (2800 to 3000 to 3200) is the only difference.

As for whether its worth the $, that depends on a lot of factors: Do you OC? Do you upgrade CPU's often? What are you doing with your system (as in: is it something the 200mhz will make a difference on)?

Mike.

Well i have a with the below specs, except for my OC which isn't stabalizing because my PS isn't powerful enough, anyhow i also just build a comp with same mobo but he has a 3000, both are winchester core obviously, haven't noticed one bit of difference at all.
