I bought the retail version so It will have the HSF.
Somebody told me that these CPUs have a thermal pad, is this true?
If they have the thermal pad does it still need the thermal silver compound?

There is a thin piece of plastic on the bottom of the hsf. It is there to protect the TIM during shipping. Please remove it.
