Howdy all,

Ok, so I read in a thread the other night something, that I wasnt quite sure about it. It said that lower memory timings on A64 boards werent as important as they were on AXP boards, because the A64 boards have an "on board memory controller". I'm having trouble finding reviews using memory with different timings, low and high, on A64 boards. Is there any validity in this? Can anyone out there enlighten me?

-------

Also, in general, or A64 boards capable of running memory in dual channel mode like almost all AXP boards can 'nowadays'? Once again, I saw somewhere. . .I really shouldnt read stuff so late. . .that they didnt.

Thanks for the help.

Splendid
The ondie controller drasticly reduces latencies, so a little more or less doesn't matter so much.
The socket 754 chips do not support dual channel, while the socket 939 and 940 chips do support it.
