Installed a new Antec True430 in the system, plugged the fan monitor
connector into the PS fan monitor on the MB, and started it up..
Under Asus Probe, the PS fan speed shows up as the CASE fan.. Hmmm..
Switched the PS cable to the MB Case fan connection, and it shows up as
the PS fan in Asus Probe.. I don't have a case fan connected to the MB..
Sooo, are the MB connectors misslabeled, or is Asus Probe reading the
wrong connectors?
Asus Probe ver.2.19.07
A7N8X dlx ver. 2
BIOS 1007..

I have the same powersupply and same mobo. And I couldn't care less. Maybe
they are mislabeled, and so what. I really cannot see there is a problem.
The behaviour you describe is the same here with me.

It's not a problem.. Just wondered if anyone else has noticed it..
Thank you for your comments..

Probe is probably lying to you.

I can't get at the MBM5 page where it is described, but basically they
swapped a couple of sensors between revisions on the A7N8X.

I wouldn't worry about it.

I DL'd Probe ver. 22301, and after a couple hiccups with it installing,
it reads the sensors correctly..
