I'm trying to use onboard sound with an A7N8X-E deluxe board and an ATI
AIW9600XT video card. I get a lot of feedback through my Altec Lansing
speakers whenever i scroll a web page using the mouse or keyboard. Tried
both through USB and PS/2 ports and makes no difference. This occurred with
the nforce drivers that came with the board as well as the new ones on
nvidia site. This is a fresh install of XP with SP2. Everything else works
like a charm. The other issue I am having is my line in sound will
automatically mute every I open the TV or radio tuner. The video card is
using an internal sound cable to the motherboard as well as the external
line in jack on the back of the case. The only sound I get is the reduced
analog sound from the inside cable. Anyone experiencing this or now what is
going on? I would hate to disable the on board sound and have to install a
separate sound card. Kind of defeats the purpose of getting this otherwise
excellent motherboard!

Mike

I too had problems with the onboard sound when capturing video, noise level
to low and and loud sounds where distorted, ended up disabling the on board
sound and sticking my SB live 5.1 Plat back in.

All ok now.
