A7V 333 Setup

I have the new Asus A7V333 and found some problems with heat and possibly voltage. I threw an XP2000 in and after several times of the COP kicking in it fried the chip. Then a temp. replacement a duron700, the duron was running hot as hell with an all copper sk6 thermalright sink up in the 130F. Here's he interesting part... left the computer in my car for 2 nights with 10-30F temps outside brought it back in and the duron stays @ 110-118F. This is the same heat I had running this chip @927Mhz on an Asus A7V with a junk sink. Any ideas ? Keep in mind all large power draws in this system are ran off of a secondary power supp. I modded onto the case. Oh last note, before I left the case to cool off I realized the chip ran cooler with a manual voltage and a clocking of 850Mhz.

It sounds like you are knowledgable and I don't mean to insult you, but are you sure the CPU/heatsink/fan is mounted correctly?

I myself was thrown off initially by that little arm you have to pull up before putting in the chip. There is a certain direction as well. Once that is done, you have to put a good amount of pressure on the clip with a screw driver to get the clip to attach right.

Oh, and don't forget to remove the little tab of where the heatsink foam type pad lays on the CPU.
:^)

The heatsink is installed correctly the sink is fairly simple you match up the slight groove to the base of your socket. It is firmly in place the motherboards voltages are unstable at best I am sending it to have it tested by Asus will post update as soon as further info available.

Seems there is something wrong with the voltage regulators on the board, or the BIOS doesn't set the correct speed. Maybe a BIOS update helps.
