Hi there,
I've recently installed the new VIA 4 in 1 drivers (4.24) on top of the 4.20 drivers that came with my installation CD. When my system reboots, all is well except that Windows wants to search for a VIATech standard CPU to PCI bridge or something like that. I hit the cancel button because I wasn't totally sure what the hell it wanted, but everytime I rebooted the computer kept it up, and I finally directed Windows to search on the original driver CD and find what it wanted there. Are we missing a new driver that is supposed to be included with the new 4.24 driver pack? Am I ok using the one with the older set of drivers, or am I messing something up. My system is running good and fast and stable, but it's bugging the hell out of me. It didn't say anything about any of this in the readme or at the website, so I'm not even sure what I'm installing. If any of you have had this happen, I'd like to know if you've found out anything about it.
Thanks,
Phil

I hate to tell you but you are still using the old 4 in 1 drivers. Reinstall 4.24 and when windows comes up looking for the VIATech standard CPU to PCI bridge direct Windows to the VIA 4 in 1 Drivers and let it find the proper one.
Good luck.
