I have 2 old PC's to choose from at the moment and am hoping a recently acquired, and questionably functioning GTX 980ti will not bottleneck either horrendously.

Here are the 2 PC's I have:

1. HP Pavilion P7 1587cb A8 5500 CPU
28GB Ram
460 watt Dell OEM PSU
3.5 sata drive (hoping to upgrade to an SSD soon.
Windows 7 ultimate.

2. Lenovo H430 Core i3 2120 3.3 ghz
16 GB Ram
Antec 500W 80 bronze plus continuous PSU
Windows 7 ultimate.

I realize these are not ideal gaming rigs and are quite dated. I also realize the PSU's are on the border of being even powerful enough for the 980, especially the 460W. Just want to know which would be the better overall system to try the card out with, and go from there.

If the HP is the better choice I will swap PSU's, otherwise will leave as is .

Thank you.

I think the average max pull of a GTX 980 is roughly 274 watts at max load, Of course depending on the version of the card. That being possible that the (2) pc could power it but it would be pretty close. Also the i3 2120 would be a better pairing.
