a8 6600k and gtx 970

Hey I am gonna get a gtx 970 and in my rig I have a a8 6600k, so my question is, how much will it bottleneck? I would switch cpus to a fx 6300 BUT I dont have money right now so if im losing anything over 15 fps I will probably go with the FX 6300 (Im playing at 1080p) and I am playing mostly next gen games and ive heard you dont need a great cpu because they are gpu intensive

There will be some bottlenecking, though games will still mostly be playable. If you're only going for a 6300 when you upgrade, I'd save the money and get a GTX 960.

Should I get a i5 2500k and how much bottleneck because if I can still run most games at ultra 60fps then thats fine

Why don't you first see how it does with the A8 6600K before looking to upgrade?

A8-6600k and FX-6300 theoretically performs the same game-wise. Unless your games uses more than 2 cores then that's when there is going to be an ACTUAL difference. Try it first using your A8-6600k. There is gonna be some Bottlenecking so i suggest you OC your CPU a bit first to around 4.5ghz. Ofcors, you should get a good HSF with it.

Also take note, you need a good PSU to come with it.
