Ok, after i got it together lo and behold....


Long, short, short

Who makes the bios what does this mean?


Display adapter problem right?

And I get no video also....

So uhh video card need sreplacement?

Well different makers make different BIOS. American Megatrends, Phoenix, and others. The codes will be different per chip maker. I think ASUS used Phoenix (key word.. THINK). Google the beep codes for phoenix (or go to http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/phoenixbeep.htm)

if they use Award BIOS, then yes, 1long 2 short is a VC issue.

I figured as much as I could only find that for 1 long 2 short....

So I returned my vc.... if that is the problem.

Yes it sounds like a video card issue.

Please reset your system BIOS and post your full specs.

If your PSU good enough to power your VGA card?

Is the auxiliary VGA PWR connector plugged in?

Not sure how to reset bios without getting it working....


The power supply is good for it FSP 450 12v 18a dual rail.
With Two molex into PCI-E power dongle or just the dongle from the Power supply.

RMA'd the xfx 7900 gt hope to get it back soon...

You could use the BIOS reset jumper.

Since you're waiting to get your PCI-E VGA back you can use a plain old PCI VGA.

Replacement came today and well... long short short...


Took out one of the sticks of ram and it works...

I had the same problem. So glad I saw this post. Took out one stick of ram and it just started working!
