I need some help overclocking the A8N32. This is my first build and I am just starting to experiment with OC. So far, I have tried the 10% overclock profile which works great and takes my Athlon 4000+ to 2640 with CPU FSB at 220 and the FSB at 880 according to the "AI Booster". This is a no brainer as the bios will take care of all the settings for you. I would like to play around manually and see what I can learn and do. I have tried bumping up the CPU FSB to 230 which gives me 2760 but the FSB readout drops to 200 from 880 on the AI Booster? Also the memory goes down from 220 to 180? I am confused. Can someone explain the proper steps to getting to 2800 and keeping the memory at the 230 freq?
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm also planning on OCing for the first time, and have the same mobo you have.

I've been looking at this thread for guidance, written by speeduk: http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/Guide-overclocking-A64-ftopict126122.html.

Thx to alien for his link - I will check that out also.

That is an excellent article answering questions I have been asking here for a month and never getting answers to. Thanks!

Read the above articles, tried OC for the first time. Got my 2.4GHz 4000+ to 2.9GHz stable. Had to play around quite a bit with the settings and had to resort to boosting the voltage on the ram and CPU. Ran out of cooling capacity on the stock AMD fan, probably could have gone further with a better CPU cooler. Not bad for a first attempt. Beats a non-OC FX57! That was a lot of fun! Thanks again for those great links!
