I just bought my monitor the other day and am having serious issues with it...

Or maybe it's an ID 10 T error

I can't get the OSD settings to stay the way that I put them. Actually, the problem is even more broad and general than that -- I can't get the screen to look perfect (i.e., gets rid of all the black around the edges) at all! When I try to get it to rotate so the black on the bottom is fairly horizontal, the very thing black bar on the top has a slope to it...

I can't get it right!

I've messed with all the settings multiple times. Not quite sure what's going on. Actually, when I turned my computer off last night and then started playing with the computer today, I could have sworn I left my settings differently, but the screen seemed to have moved!

Anybody else having this problem? Would this happen to be a hardware problem with the monitor? I can still exchange it if it's defective...

One other thing...Also it seems as though I can't get the brightness level right... I keep playing with the options and it seems so bright that it's faded...and when I lower contrast/brightness, things get too dim/dull.

This thing looks much better at the Best Buy!

I don't understand why I can't get it to work.

Ok... two things...

1) Don't set monitor settings while it's cold. Warm it up for about an hour first. When you first turn it back on cold after that it will look as though things have changed, but let it warm up and see if they drift back into where you put them.

2) If it is genuinely losing settings, it's defective, get it replaced.
