ability to PASTE in Forefox

I cannot use the PASTE fnction within Firefox/s browser. I frequently
use this because I am lazy and do not want to retype something, so I
copy and paste. Non the less, I cannot PASTE because this function is
grayed out. Is this normal?

What are you trying to paste into the browser? A URL you get from an
e-mail? (If so, PASTE works fine for me in these situations)
