I have a WD 120GB SATA HD on SATA 1, a CDRW drive on IDE 1 and a CDR-RW/DVD
combo drive on IDE 2. All 3 are set to master. With this combination I have
tried setting On-chip serial ATA mode to "enhanced" and "auto". the computer
begins to boot, but the screen always goes blank before reaching the Windows
XP splash screen. Even if I remove one of the CDROMS or link the two CDROMS
as master and slave on one IDE the computer still hangs before the splash
screen if the On-chip SATA mode is set to "enhanced". The only way I get my
rig to boot into winXP is if I leave the On-chip SATA mode on "auto" or
"combined" and have both CDROMS on one IDE as master and slave. This works
okay, but I would really like to have each CDROM drive on its own IDE for
burning on the fly. Any ideas? (I have already flashed the IS7-E bios to the
latest version posted on the Abit website).

Fixed it. Turns out out IDE Bus Master needs to be enabled (which is odd
since this if for a DOS environment - but it works).
