ABIT KT7A-RAID question

I would like to hook up 2 45GB IBM 7200's to this board in a RAID-0 (striping) config. Do I set them both as "master" and plug them into 2 seperate IDE slots on the board?

ahem....tfm doesn't say anything about the 80x40 cable that has one of the wires punched out of it which seems to be giving the BIOS more than it knows what to deal with when I hook up both the drives independently on IDE 3 and IDE 4 (yes, I did finally read that in the manual)......still trying.....

I think I read another post that said when you use that funky cable you need to set the disk as "Cable Select" instead of master. I got two identical cables I think... but I'm still working on setting mine up (actually awaiting me to finish something using this old computer before I strip it).
