About a laptop windows license

I have an Hp laptop that has 8 gigs of ram and that I would probably use for very few things like gaming at friends house since I'm a tad lazy. I'd like to know if I could use my old windows 7 license that was on a acer laptop that was given with the computer, Quick response Thank you.

No

OEM licenses of windows 7/8 (and earlier) are non-transferable, they are bound to the motherbaod.

Thus you cant use your HP's win 7 license on a different computer.
