motherboard amd model: GA-M51GM-S2G
current ram: kingston 2x2gb KVR1333D3N9/2G

I went to the shop with my current ram and ask them if they had this ram so i can add another 2x2gb to make my pc runs at 8gb of memory but instead they gave me transcend 4G 2Rx8 ddr3 1333 U,i went home n insert it unfortunately my bios cant read and the screen went blank,i tried removing my old ram n insert the new one and the result is still the same,my question is,is my motherboard capable of reading max 2x2gb of ram only or what?i might be a newbie in this so any help is greatly appreciate thx.

Solution
Your board supports up to 4 modules 4GB is size, DDR2 memory.

All you need to do is buy a matching pair of 2x4GB DDR2 (hard to find), or 4x2GB (easier to find). The only thing you need is that they are DDR2 and all the modules should be exactly the same model, no matter which one but the same.

And there is no guarantee that you have not already damaged your mobo/slots by force-pushing DDR3 in.
