About AM3+ motherboard

I recently planned to build a PC, I want to choose a motherboard that supports AM3+. There are many AM3+ motherboards, right? But I'm confused of the specifications. On the specs page of one of the motherboards, it says the motherboard supports AM3+ CPUs, also on another line, it says that the motherboard supports Phenom II/Athlon II. So can I put the FX-CPU on that motherboard?

Depends on the exact motherboard. Most motherboards will have a CPU support list on their website.
