I feel like the bottlenecking topic is way too overrated and misused in this forum. All the "Will my CPU (or GPU) bottleneck my system?" questions are getting out of hand lately. I agree that people should ask about their outdated or low performance hardware when needed but guys, either your CPU or GPU will be better than the other. That doesn't mean its a bottleneck. I thought people should realize this, it will prevent many empty threads.

I agree, but "Bottleneck" is just the latest example of a catchphrase gone bad. It seems like every couple of years, there's a new one that blown out of proportion. I'd also toss out, "PCI-E compatibility" and "DDR onlyl showing half rates"

We (and I stress, "we"), just need to remember that most of the people who come and post here do not have the same level of knowledge as some of us others. I know I spent three years on a gaming forum and two more years here before I felt confident enough to actually respond to a forum post here. Additionally, I'm sure something like this happens in just about every tech forum.

Think of it like dust. Even if you spend all day cleaning it up, it just comes back.

Many of us are of the same opinion.

Word "Gaming" as applied to computer and/or parts has been abused heavily too. Every working computer can run games and qualify as Gaming. Just depends if it's Solitaire or BF1.

Even manufacturers of parts slap that word on their products. Gaming case, yeah right, it's gonna be so much faster in the gaming case. Without a case like that, your Solitaire wouldn't run !!
