im planning to buy SAMSUNG S27A950D ( this monitor is not nvidia 3D monitor!!! this monitor contain it's own processor to convert 2D image to 3D image and also this is 120hz monitor) soon and i have 1 question.. let say i have a powerful graphic card and able to hit 100fps in bf3, if i enable 2D to 3D conversion on the monitor, will the frame drop to 50 fps or somewhere around there? since the frame is cut into half for each eye..

2D to 3D conversion is nonsense, its not possible for a piece of hardware to just magically make things 3D. Films can be made 3D, but the process is done by considering how far away things are and adjusting their on screen separation.

Playing 3D games your FPS is going to be cut in half and be limited to 60FPS no matter what.

Hey ginyen95, I bought a S27A950D and the 2D to 3D conversion isn't anything special, what you will need to do is download Tri-def software which is well worth the money and obviously have an AMD GPU. Otherwise a real nice looking monitor and bf3 @ 60fps in 3d is sweet.

The Tridef software supports Nvidia cards too.

From what i can remember cookybuiscuit there seemed to be a problem with nvidia 3d vision and the samsung monitor, maybe that's been fixed in the last year
