I Have A Decent OLD Pc And Want To Play New Games e.g, CS:GO & PUBG PC
PC Config:
1.Gigabyte G41M Combo Motherboard (LGA
775)
2. DDR2 6GB RAM 800Mhz & DDR3 4GB
RAM 1333Mhz (Which Should I Used)
3. Intel Core 2 Duo (3.16Ghz) & Intel Core 2
Quad (2.66Ghz) Which Should I Used
4. Seagate 160 GB HDD (Windows 10
Installed)
5. 1TB WD Blue
6. Zebronics 450 Watt SMPS / PSU Comes
With Chassis
7. Zebronics ZEB-157R Chassis Polygon

Which Latest Graphics Card Will Work In This Config.
Especially I Want To Install Nvidia GTX 1030 2GB DDR5 On This Config. Will It Work? I Think Only Low Profile Graphics Will Fitt On ZEB-157R Chassis?
Only I Can Afford Up To Nvidia GTX 1030 Card. Budget Under RS 9K

CPU: you need core 2 quad, if you can overclock the chip by all means please do so, i don't recall if you can do it on g41 or not.
6 gb is verytight, you would need 8 gb ram for pubg.
also ideally, you want a ssd.
in terms of graphics card, you need a 1050 ti due to the fact your ram is very limited, you can't afford to off load vram data into system ram.
everything very low, i would say you can get about 30 ~ 50 fps.

i have an old pc that i have experimented on:
Q9550 @ 3.4
8 gb ddr2
100 gb ssd.
and a rx580 8 gb.

my vram usage is about 3.7gb
system ram usage is 6.7 to 7.1 gb

gpu utilization is 20~30% and my cpu usage is 90%~100%.

cpu is definitely the bottleneck, if you can oc your cpu and add a 2 more gb to your ram, you should be okay.

you board should be able to support all gaming graphic card from low end, all the way to 1080ti. (given that your psu can provide has 2 8pin connector)
however, your system (CPU, RAM, Chipset) is very old, and seriously bottle-necking the gpu performance.

1030 should not be any issue from power delivery point of view.

U would use for now DDR2 or buy another 4GB of DDR3 from QVL or same ram.

Now the tricky bit the CPU, If you're not gonna risk bricking motherboard then Q8400 since it has more extensions than Q6600.

As for GPU, what are you wanting to play?
Since you're gonna have trouble running some AAA games.
1030 is good option.

Solution
You could only play CS:GO at decent 60fps without issue on 720P but PUBG is a big no go.
Then i advise you to save up atleast 600-800$ and buy completley new pc and you are not going to upgrade in atleast 6-7 years, only swapping GPU after it cannot run games anymore, because CPU's hold up much longer.
