i just bought a gtx 1070 for about two weeks
and i had this problem
my gtx 1070 only showing 4gb vram and i test it on resident evil 2
so i use msi afterburner to see my vga usage
my vga use actually goes to 100% usage, but it limit my vram only about 3892 vram usage
it is because of the bottleneck or what else?

my spec :
i7-2600k no OC
MSI z77a-g45 LGA1155
RAM 2x4 GB
SSD Sandisk 480GB

Sorry for bad english

i buy it used,
its brand is ASUS DUAL FAN GTX 1070

it says Thank you for using the Warranty Check Tool. For more information about your specific Serial Number and Warranty please contact ASUS Support for more information.

i buy it in local marketplace from indonesia, and it is second used for about six months i guess

a update :
i check it in asus indonesia and it says still in warranty

Resident Evil 2 is buggy as hell bro.
Could be a software glitch.

Use MSI Afterburner to check the actual specs of your card.
If it says 4GB as well, then there's an issue with the card, otherwise, it's just RE2 that is being the butt head.

For example, I've come across many people right now having issues getting the game to even run.
Others have issues with the keyboard not working, or the game only runs when you have a controller plugged in.

It works fine on my main PC, but I was just trying to get some benchmark results on another system I have with older lower specs but I can't get it to even run LOL.

speccy is a piece of garbage software. don't ever use it.
If GPU-Z says you have 8GB then you have 8GB.

In MSI-A you can either press the down arrow on the bottom panel till you get to GPU memory usage and it'll say the max amount on the left in small text above the levels, or you can pop that out and scroll down.
