Hi,
So I am not good at predicting wattage requirements,
What wattage PSU would be required for a build with the following:
A Kaveri Apu
A R7 360
8GB of Ram

Thanks!

Solution
Really need a bit more detail.

Assuming -

A10-7890K APU
one HDD
one SSD
2 x 4 GB DDR3 memory

A quality PSU rated at a minimum of 450 W is suggested.
First of all, don't get an APU if buying a dedicated graphics card (you do NOT want to use Dual Graphics). In fact, I recommend an i3-6100 or similar depending on the budget.

Hard to give advice without the total budget though. I'll make a quick build you can ignore if you want.

Just an example, and if your budget is high enough one one of the newer AMD Polaris cards should be the best value. Polaris availability uncertain, though you can still use the iGPU for some light gaming.

I did include Windows or a DVD drive either.

Update: You can find legit Windows 10 64-bit keys for as little as $45USD online but be careful. To install, you can download the MS media creation tool, run it, choose "other PC" option then burn to DVD or USB stick.

If you get to that point ask somebody. It's not very hard though one it's explained properly.

Thanks!

Just FYI, but:

a) APU isn't that great for gaming, and
b) you need to use very fast DDR3 memory to avoid a CPU bottleneck (update: I meant GPU bottleneck in the APU), and
c) since it's SHARED memory anything you assign as GPU is not left over for system memory.
d) SSD isn't really ideal for such a low budget system. You'd be far, far (far) better putting that towards a dedicated graphics card then go with a normal CPU.

Seriously, that APU can't even match a similar CPU with an R7-250 graphics card!

An R9-380 for example is probably about $200 but it has up to 6X the performance.

(I have no idea what your plan is now BTW since you mentioned getting an i3 then gave best answer to the APU quick build. Anyway, good luck... )
