To get anything approaching a decent price you almost have to part this out, but even then you're obviously going to be disappointed. Enthusiasts tend to be willing to pay a substantial premium for the absolute best available at the moment. 2.5 years ago when this CPU came out you're right it retailed for over a grand. And people were willing to pay that at the time even though the 980 was half the price for 90% the performance, because this was the absolute best there was. Now that it isn't the absolute best of the best anymore, that premium is gone. Consider that a 4930k completely smokes this thing and retails for only 500 brand new. Or heck, a 4770k will beat this thing for only 250 brand new, if 6 cores aren't a deal breaker...

the CPU alone is over 1000 dollars retail, around 700 used. go play in traffic.

Coupled with it being on a dead\dying platform and there is no reason for someone looking to put together a complete system to give you anything close to 1000 for the CPU, when they could get a much better one for half the price. Ide say if you parted it out you could probably get 700ish for the CPU and MB together. The GPU, well consider that my local microcenter sells gtx 680 brand new for 300 thats a good selling price for that. The monitor is like 100-150.
PSU depends on brand.
Memory maybe 150 to 200.
SSD, depends on model\brand but early generation SSDs do not hold their value very well as everyone is concerned with them crapping out. But consider that the top of the line Samsung 840 pro 256GB retails brand new for around 175 so maybe that at most.
The data drive, I'll assume you meant TB and not BG but maybe 75ish.
