Hi people

I want to know is it better to have higher pixel clock and higher timings,or lower pixel clock but also lower timings? In my case,i managed my pixel clock to work at 195000Khz (because i think higher is better),but for that cost,i also had to increase horizontal and vertical timings very high. Basically,im asking about refresh rate, because i can have 76hz in two different ways,in two cases. First option is perhaps 195000Khz,but at higher timings, and the second option is the same 76Hz,but with perhaps 175000Khz and much lower timings. This is something like overclocking ram memory,or just sounds like that to me. So i want to know what is better for games? High pixel clock,or lower timings? Thank you in advance

To be honest if you don't know what the settings do, you probably shouldn't change them.

Timings control the length of the intervals when the source is NOT sending data. Increasing the timings makes those intervals larger, which means that during the active periods when the source IS sending data, the data has to be sent in a shorter amount of time (hence higher pixel clock, pixels need to be signaled at a higher frequency). This makes it more difficult to get the signal through without loss, and increases the likelihood of loss of sync or loss of signal entirely. You want the timings and pixel clock to be as low as they can.
