About new mouse sens

So i guess u guys can help me out
I recently got a Targus wireless optical mouse which is set on 1600dpi
My old mouse is logitech home/ work mouse (not sure its 400or 800dpi)
I cant find my mouse sens that fit me in game (csgo&overwatch)
I use 4 in csgo and 40 in overwatch
Is it like if my old mouse is 800 dpi then my new mouse is 1600dpi
I should lower my mouse sens in game like 4 divide 2 = 2 ??
I need advice

You need to find out your old mouse's DPI, lets say it had 400dpi, your sens was 4 ingame sens x 400dpi = 1600 so with a 1600dpi mouse you'd have to use 1 sens ingame. (1 ingame sense x 1600 dpi= 1600 obviously).

How to check my old mouse dpi any software that can do the trick?

Google that mouse model, then choose a page which shows you it's specifications (favourite being the manufacturer's site).

(I'm not aware of any utility software which shows mouse hardware DPI)
