Question About Optane

I'm a bit confused about Optane
I have a Nitro 5 equipped with Optane 32GB
My question is why can only folder and application that is installed on C Drive that can be pinned
So does it means only files on the C Drive that is properly boosted? How about the other drive like D drive for example, is it cached and boosted by Optane too?

Optane is a different take on caching files and folders that you frequently use. The pairing happens between the HDD and the Optane memory module, so in essence the entire HDD is sped up and feels responsive. You will need to keep in mind that if either drive or memory module is offline, the pairing is broken.

Since this is a laptop it's fair to assume it has only one physical HDD --- so 'C' and 'D' are simply partitions on the same physical drive.
Optane speeds up the entire HDD, that means all partitions will benefit from it.
