Overclocking a laptop is not advised due to the poor (comparatively) heat management. And, most of the time, laptops don't have any built-in mechanism to even overclock.

That's probably for the best. There are many Youtube videos concerning overclocking specific processors. Whether someone want to overclock their CPU or GPU there are usually specific videos demonstrating how to do that. The cooling ability in laptop is limited even when a cooling pad/tray is used. You are welcome to edit this question and offer specific question regarding YOUR laptop which needs to include complete make and model number. Acer Aspire or Asus ROG is not complete. Still it's not the best of ideas. "Learning" how to overclock on a laptop can teach you how quick your laptop can die.
