about ram details

my processor is fx 8350 amd and i have fitted 8gb corsair vengence single ram.it says installed memory 8gb (3.90 usable) in system properties. i dont know why.

Is your OS 64 bit?

There is a 32 bit OS RAM limitation that limits it to under 4 GB.
